LVMH SHUFFLING THE CEO CARDS!

The only thing sure in life is that the sun comes up in the morning, and goes down in the night.. Well, even that is not sure as we are supposed to see the end of the world on 21-12-12! Oh gosh, that’s tomorrow..  Whatever may happen, I think Jordi Constans already feels like dying when he picked up the newspaper of the doormat yesterday.. As per the daily mail, Jordi Constans, CEO Louis Vuitton, got replaced by Michael Burke, who was the CEO of Bvlgari.. I met with Michael Burke last month in Abu Dhabi, and I must say, he is a fun, but tough American cookie.. Jordi constans was forced to step down from his position as LV CEO due to “medical reasons” after just one month.. “His condition does not allow him to fulfil his duties as CEO,” said Antoine Arnault, a member of the board of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton and son of the luxury giant’s chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault. “We wish Jordi all the best.” Now that’s what we call a sweet goodbye..! According to WWD, Constans’ condition is not life-threatening, but it does prevent him from meeting the physical demands of the job – which involves overseeing 450 stores around the world and helping to ensure the label’s profits are constantly high. Jordi Constans moved from the “oh so fashionable Yoghurt maker Danone” to LVMH and last month. Mr Constans replaced the brand’s longtime CEO, Yves Carcelle, who departed from a 21-year-long ride with Louis Vuitton. Michael Burke started his new role as LV CEO yesterday. With a impressive history at Christian Dior, Fendi and Bvlgari, Im sure Mr Burke will do perfeclty fine.. I Just hope he will not forget to exchange his current luggage bags for a cute 8-piece Louis Vuitton traveling set ;-)
