WINTER WONDERLAND WITH REISS AND EMIRATES WOMAN!

As always interested in fashion, I complimented my boyfriend John on his shoes during our first date. They were brown leather woven shoes as stated by him “bought in Greece”, just like most of his clothes. I could not help but ask myself in the back of my mind; Since when did Greece became the capital of fashion?

A few weeks later my colleague told me he was going on vacation to Greece. At that time I was still thinking that Greece is the new hotspot to buy clothes, so I passed him Johns number for some of his shopping spree tips.

Later that day when I arrived home John asked me, “Hey, any idea why your collegeague called me for shopping tips in Greece? I have never been there!? So I question him; “I thought
 you bought all your clothes from there!!? He started to shake his head and laughed out loud, REISS you mean! REISS the fashion brand!! So there you go, that was my first introduction to REISS!

After all this time, every mall visit still has a stopover at REISS, so when I got invited to personally come and see the exclusive REISS AW13 fashionshow I felt more than privileged!
 The invitation itself was already super exciting. There was a little note stating “Exclusive Blogger event – REISS AW collection” delicately wrapped around a heavy glass pot filled with coco powder and marshmallows. Seriously the perfect preparation for the event which was held in a chalet overlooking the Ski piste at SKI DUBAI.

REISS organized the exclusive fashionshow in combination with Emirates Woman magazine, and to start off we got a heads up on all the AW2013 trends by Jade – the style editor for Emirates woman.
 After that we got to see the fashion show in which the models showcased some high lights of the REISS AW collection, while me and the other bloggers were seated with a beautiful view on the SKI slope!

As style editor Jade already revealed in her winter trend report, the collection contained a lot of super hot  cool pieces. Instead of sweaty ear-warmers and oversized reindeer sweatshirt the collection contained the latest trends such as black and white, floral prints, leather, lace, skirts and sheer fabrics.
 Even though it was not Christmas yet, the REISS team did not let us leave without a generous present. Next to some nice goodies, each of us got gifted with an amazing leather REISS clutch from the AW collection! Overall it was a great event which really made me look forward to the frrrreezing cold winters back home in Holland!
